INTRO: This section just tells how I met my new BFW so if you want to skip over it that's up to you......
Recently while doing some Christmas shopping I met a older man, he's 57, who has become my new BFW and we couldn't be happier. It all started of innocently enough as I was walking through the women's section of a store when this really cute older guy stopped me holding up a dress and asking me if I liked it. As I looked it over he said he's been going crazy trying to find Christmas gifts for his wife saying he has already got her jewelry, a pocket book and boots she more than hinted she wanted but he wanted to get her a nice dress. He told me that they have a few Christmas and New Years events to go too so he just wanted to get her a few nice outfits she could wear as a surprise, he then smiled and told me even though she has two walk-in closets full of clothes she always says she has nothing to wear and I just had to laugh. I've always had a weakness for older men but there was just something about him that screamed he was desperate so I heard myself asking if he'd like some help and he quickly said he'd love it and even offered to pay me for my time. I thanked him of course and refused saying I was a shop-a-holic and spending his money instead of mine was enough and he just laughed holding up the dress once again asking me what I thought of it. I told him it was nice but it would depend on what the occasion was they were going too as in if it was for a night of visiting family it was fine because it was nice looking and not too showy as if she was trying to impress anyone. With that he smiled and said so this will be an early present she can wear on Christmas even when we meet the family and I said that was perfect. He then said he needed two other outfits, one for his pre-New Years Office Dinner Party his boss throws every year to thank the people who work there, which he said a little showy was fine. The last one would be for New Years Eve, he told me that he and some of their friends booked a spot at one of the local hotels, it was dinner, dancing to a live orchestra, a champagne toast at midnight, then as the party broke up a room at the hotel for the night. He said it's very high end so he wanted an outfit where as she walked by everyone would be jealous that she was with him and I had to smile telling him I could understand that. Next thing I knew he was pulling out his wallet to show me pictures of her, she was I'd guess late forties, maybe early fifties and very pretty and I told him the dress he had was nice, but for the other ones we needed to hit a different store in the mall. As we waited in line to pay for the things he got we started talking and in no time it felt as if I'd known him for years as he was so easy to talk too and soon after we were at a different store where I knew they'd have just what he needed and warning him that it was more expensive when the store we just left. He just smiled and said she was worth it and within a few minutes I picked out a couple things, for him to look over, one a little showy, and the others very formal and very showy as he asked. Soon after we were standing out in front of the store and I told him I hoped his wife liked them and she smiled saying I think she'll be amazed when she see them, telling me that for her birthday he got her a air fryer, which was more his speed when it came to shopping and I couldn't help but laugh. As I was saying bye he once again offered me money to pay for my time which I refused and he said I was such a huge help to him so if I wouldn't take money the least he could do was to buy me lunch and I said that sounded fair. He said not at the food court in the mall though saying there was a pub in the mall that had great food and I said that was fine with me, with that he said he just wanted to make a quick detour by his car to drop off the things he bought rather then carrying them around and I said that was fine. It wasn't long after that the bags were in the car and we were being seated at the pub looking over the menu as we talked, he was right, the food was excellent as we had our lunch we were just talking and laughing the whole time and sadly with was time to go. We were both enjoying each others company so much neither of us wanted it to end but it was getting late and we both had things to do so he offered to walk me out to my car, once we got there he thanked me for the shopping help and kind of giggled as he said he night need me again. Next thing I knew we were exchanging phone numbers and after a quick hug good bye we parted ways for what I thought would be the last time, but happily I was wrong as a few days later he called saying he gave his wife the dressed early ( just incase) and she really loved them to the point she was showing them to the neighbors saying that she was amazed. I couldn't help but laugh, he was so excited and he asked if I'd meet him for dinner one night so he could thank me properly and I agreed.
