I guess for you guys they would be our versions of your ghettos just generally worse.

Some are almost like shanty towns that just spring up anywhere some are real decrepit parts of towns or old towns, buildings with roofs or walls in disrepair that kind of thing

Oh okay. Now I understand. So the parts we actually see in movies and tv shows.

It is always funny to me how movies and tv shows portray the worst parts of our countries. Or they stereotype people and places.

Does misery sell? Except for England aren't they all meant to live in castles or mansions and have butlers in their shows and films?

England does seem to always be portrayed like that. I never thought of that before.
