I have been seeing DNA Tests being advertised and was wondering how accurate they are . Has everyone ever done this and what was your experience ? Also , what to you think they do with your DNA Data ?

I know that ancestry has been used to track criminals. i know a few that have done it. Not sure of the accuracy though.

So that tells me they are collecting personal property and selling it to the government .

DNA test are a joke and are an easy way to make money to gullible genealogy amateurs.
Take an example, a result says you're x% French or y% Italian. This has absolutely no meaning. Northern French people are of Germanic type and southern French are from Mediterranean type (French and Italian themselves being nationalities and not ethnic types). Same worth for Italian. Are you a northern Italian (bordering Germanic and Slavic countries) or are you Sicilian?
